Brittany is a licensed social worker who is passionate about empowering children and youth as they realize their strengths and resiliency. She believes that everyone has difficult days and needs to be reminded of their inherent value and purpose. Children are no different. Just like adults, they can feel overwhelmed by big emotions and changes in life. Brittany works to provide a safe, open, and non-judgmental space where children and youth can learn new skills to better regulate emotions and navigate new challenges.
Since 2021, Brittany has served children, adolescents, and adults individually and as units of the family system. She began her career supporting youth in foster care and helping families navigate the effects of trauma, stress, and change. As a resource family development specialist, she led trauma-informed parenting classes and supported families holistically. After obtaining her graduate degree, she began supporting children and youth as an outpatient therapist. Using CBT and Play-Therapy Activities, she has supported children with diverse needs including grief and grieving, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, foster care, post-adoption, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
She holds the following credentials:
- Obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Messiah University in 2022
- Obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Salisbury University in 2023
- Has an LSW which enables her to provide treatment in the state of Pennsylvania
- A member of Phi Alpha, the National Honor Society for Social Work
- A member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology
In addition to her education and licensing, Brittany has completed training focused on trauma informed care, therapeutic foster parenting, and empowering families individually and holistically. She will continue to further her education and uphold licensure requirements through participation in trainings and seminars.
