Dawn is a licensed professional counselor who has worked in the human services field since 2007. She began her career working in a therapeutic recreation center for adults with chronic mental illness, teaching them appropriate socialization for everyday life. During her master’s level internship, she led groups and held a caseload in a partial hospitalization program for patients who had just completed inpatient psychiatric care. The partial hospitalization program focused on Dialectical Behavior Therapy for all diagnoses. Dawn began working in outpatient psychotherapy in 2012, working with diverse populations and age groups. She enjoys working with teenagers, young adults and women with depression and anxiety. Dawn uses elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Rogerian therapeutic rapport in her work with clients. She holds the following credentials:
- Obtained Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2008
- Obtained Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2012
- Has a license to practice professional counseling from the state of Pennsylvania
