Zac is a licensed social worker who has been in the human services field since 2018. He began his career working an internship with a substance abuse resource center in his local community during his undergraduate education. His work with the resource center had him going into the community, in collaboration with a local police department, to provide education on the rising opioid epidemic and how to utilize Narcan as well as providing Narcan kits to all participants at no cost. His master’s level internship from 2020 to 2021 had him working with the Student Assistance Coordinator at North Plainfield High School. He helped develop a virtual space to connect with students during the COVID-19 pandemic and utilized that space to educate students on the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices as well as providing an avenue for students to reach out for support.
Zac began providing clinical services in 2018 working as an admissions counseling intern in a detox center while he was pursuing his masters. He initially conducted intake assessments and suicide risk assessments before transitioning to providing clinical services to clients, including assisting them in facilitating their continuum of care. During this time, he gained experience facilitating psychoeducational groups and working in inpatient, PHP and IOP levels of care. In 2025 he began providing therapy to individuals who had recently completed inpatient treatment or were released from jail as a therapist through a PHP program.
Zac believes that therapy should be a collaborative process where his role is to support you on your journey. He utilizes a strengths-based and holistic approach in his work and believes that everyone deserves to have the opportunity for change and to find their own happiness.
Zac holds the following credentials:
- Obtained his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Delaware, 2018
- Obtained his master’s in social work from Rutgers University, 2023
- Obtained his LSW in 2024 in New Jersey
- Obtained his LSW in 2025 in Pennsylvania
In addition to his education, he has participated in numerous training courses that have focused on various treatment orientations including motivational interviewing, mindfulness and DBT. Lastly, Zac is in pursuit of his clinical licensure (LCSW) and is projected to complete this in 2028.
