Shanie is a licensed social worker with 8 years of experience in the Human Services field. She graduated Summa cum laude from Walden University with her bachelor’s in social work in 2024. Shanie also has her MSN from Chamberlain University in 2025 in Nursing Leadership. She is currently a FNP/PMHNP Student at Rocky Mountain University of Health Sciences. Shanie’s background includes extensive work with clients with intellectual disabilities and Autism. She then obtained her master’s in social work, graduating in 2025 with Summa cum laude honors. She worked as an ABA and Peer Support for children and teens through in-home services for over 5 years. Shanie has worked as a nurse in local county prisons with adults and youth, worked in the ICU, and with the vulnerable elderly population for the last 3 years. She has been doing individual therapy since 2024 and received her license from the state of Pennsylvania in 2025. Her interests are pre-teens, teenagers, young adults, and adults. Shanie’s passions include working with people with disabilities, at-risk youth, clients on the ASD spectrum, working with minorities, LGBTQ+, mood disorders, trauma, couples, religious beliefs, and persistent depression. She likes to customize her therapy style for each Patient-Centered Style of Care. Shanie is part of os Sigma Tau Mu, Sigma Theta Tau Mu, and NASW.
